Guys: How do you expect girls to come up to you?

I have a crush and I can never come up to him to even say hi. Sometimes when I see him, he locks his eyes with me and it has looked like he wanted to talk. Me and him are pretty popular but I am really shy with guys I have a liking for. So what should I say?

    I expect girls not to just run up to me and say they like me i like when they be friends with me and take it one step at a time.
