Before buying it, make sure your Mac can run it. Go to the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select About This Mac. Make sure it's running and Intel CPU and not a PowerPC processor. If it's a G3, G4 or G5 then you cannot upgrade it. Snow Leopard will not run on your hardware. Your only option is to buy a new Mac. If you have an Intel chip, you're fine. Just buy the disc, back up all of your data to be safe, insert teh disc and follow the instructions. It'll take an hour or more.
Did you even read what I wrote in your previous question? YOU DON'T. You buy a physical copy of it. You might as well ask how to download an upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7.
