How do you convert a percentage grade to points?

I have a class where the assignment are listed as being worth points. All the points add up to 100. We had two quizzes that were graded as percentages. If I earned at 75% but it is only worth 2.5 points of my total grade. How do I convert it? I originally assumed that since the 2.5 points per quiz is the same as 2.5% of the total course grade. I just don't want to calculate my grade wrong because I am trying to see where I stand going into the last 5 weeks of my semester. HELP! Please!
