How do I fix my computer?

Ok so i logged on my computer and every program is missing the files it needs to open! I believe there was an update everyday for the last 3 days so this could be the problem, but I am not sure. I am kind of worried. But I took a few screen shots.

This is what happens when I try to uninstall something....

  • Step one, set updates to notify you, but not install unless you tell them to. Then, you control what is done. Next, try a system restore, which rolls the computer back to a previous date, preferably before the updates in question. You can also remove updates from the control panel. When you go to "add/remove programs", you can check to show updates, and those will be listed. If a program will still not open, or uninstall, there could be a registry issue. Look for a good registry cleaner (lots of these available at different prices, see CNET for reviews on good ones), and try running that. You could also search for the folders with the problem program, that you want rid of, and delete them manually. Next, be sure you have a GOOD antivirus program, such as Kaspersky. Do NOT trust Norton. Trust me there - personal experience, and supported my MANY tech people. Up-to-date Norton 360 left four of my computers infected. FOUR. Also blocked critical security updates from Windows. Kaspersky is quality, and affordable. Available in stores, or online.

Once you clear all the possible registry and virus issues, uninstalling and reinstalling the programs giving you problems should help. If not, contact those companies for assistance; could be some issue with just them). For the one with a missing uninstall folder, most likely a vendor issue.

    Hope this helps!
