Why racism is so controversial especially among white Americans?
I think this is certainly unfair but true indeed. What is it they found against others? Americans tend to discriminate people who aren't like them. But I think we don't do the same way as you are. Seems like you pretend to be the most superior race on this planet. The same goes to some Europeans and other Westerners I think. Your question loops all over the place...But to answer what I think you want to discuss - I do think although the US has a racism problem, we try to address it. This is still a pretty tolerant country overall. Every single country has racism or groups that are discriminated against unfairly, sometimes having nothing to do with outward appearance/skin color. Humans are basically tribe or pack oriented, and all humans tend to discriminate against other tribes of humans who are not like them. Look in any history book - it's a common theme. Indian culture has the untouchables, the Serbs hate the Croats, etc....The Nazis considered the Jews another race apart from white rather than seeing Judaism as a religion. Many discriminate against the handicapped because they are "different”. People have been killed because they are gay.
I don't know that racism is any more controversial than any other type of discrimination - perhaps you feel strongly about it personally and it appears that way to you. Just as a woman might feel more strongly about sexual harrasment as it pertains to her life.
Hate is an equal opportunity thing. Everyone has some prejudices, even non whites towards whites. The only way to surmount this is through interaction with people different from oneself.
Besides, lumping all white Americans and Europeans together and stating that they all think alike and believe that they are a superior race is actually a very racist thing to say. You are judging them by their appearance and skin color. I am pretending nothing, I judge people by their IQ mostly.

Take a 1/4 Jewish, 1/4 Black, 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 White guy, who is openly gay, disabled in some way, wearing a Coco Cola cap, is a staunch atheist, and has a coupon book for McDonalds Big Macs... drop this guy off in the middle of any country in the world.
I guarantee you America is the only place he'll be given a home and a place to be. He might catch some **** from some people, but that's about it.

While I've never been to America or Europe, I've seen plenty of racism. And I get a lot of abuse from people who mistake me for an "arrogant ignorant rascist white American." Everyday I have to put up with sweeping generalisations of the Western world, when will you realise the hypocrasy? There are rascists in every country so stop sterotyping.

"Racist" is the new buzz word that Illegal aliens use to try and get "Acceptance" to a society that does NOT want them.
