New MacBook Pro fan noises?
I got a MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, and I've noticed that when I'm not really doing anything (as in, I'm usually just browsing the Internet/not running any heavy programs) there's a light noise coming from the computer/the computer fan. Should this be happening, or should it be completely silent? I know the fan turns on when you're doing something that requires a lot of battery power/energy, and makes a sound similar to rushing air, but when you're not doing much what kind of noise should a new computer be making?
Thanks!

The fans make no noise at all unless they get faster from heat sensors. Be sure your idea of "not doing much" makes sense. Watching HD video / Youtube, or playing games is more than you think.
If you are sure it makes a loud noise when you first turn it on cold, reset the SMC.
If it still makes noise when cold after resetting the SMC, take it to the repair shop.

Macs have really loud fans its gets really annoying. If the bottom does not appear that hot then get the mac replaced the sensors could be malfunctioning
