My dogs occasionally do get asparagus as a treat. I give it to them raw. If you're talking about dinner left overs I would run it under the tap to remove any butter or seasonings first.
No, it will not hurt a dog. However, any sudden change in diet, or eating something he/she does not usually eat can cause gas or diarrhea or stomach upset. Just to warn you, asparagus can induce some nasty smelling doggie gas.
Be on the look out for changes in his/her poop schedule. If you notice problems for more than two days, take your dog to your vet.

He'll be alright. It is stringy so next time just make sure it's cut well so doggie doesn't choke.
Asparagus will only hurt a dog if you tie some to your shoes and then kick the dog. Asparagus also has the ability to hurt a dog's feelings.

Good luck!

One of my dogs loves fresh asparagus-fresh green beans---fresh pea pods--- so i guess i wouldn't hurt
Your dog will be fine. If it was raw aspargus, it may be too much fiber and he might puke (like when dogs eat grass), but he will be okay.
No i think your dog will be fine.It just might make him pee quite a lot though.
