Is 0.5mg of Propecia a day enough?
I've been taking Propecia a little over a year (oct 2012-Nov 2013) I never had any sort of drastic hair loss, just some temple recession that I wanted to nip in the bud before it got out of hand (I'm 29 now and started on the drug at 28)
So far I'd say it's worked ok. I haven't lost any additional hair and my hairline seems firmer and stronger. Not sure if there's been much in terms of regrowth...a small amount. But I'm definitely looking better now than oct 2012.
I'm wondering if the 0.5 mg a day is enough though. Will results improve if I up it to 1.0? Also how much water do you need to take with it. Every morning I take it while I'm getting ready in the bathroom and just take it with like a drop of water? Do I need to take it with a full glass or meal?

The usual dose is in fact 1mg, in fact I was not aware that there was a standard preparation of only 0.5 mgs. The drug does not need to be taken with food or water.
