Desktop processor issue.?
I have an i7 2600 Sandy Bridge. When I boot up my desktop the i7 has very low speed, then when i launch a game the processor speed goes up very high, which is causing lag on my computer, then my desktop auto shuts off. What can I do to fix this problem?

It sounds like your cooling fan/heatsink may not be securely attached, causing your CPU to overheat after a short time and triggering an automatic safety shutdown.
I've got to agree with C-Man on this one. I reckon it's overheating.
