Vista Doesn't recognize my Dual Xeons?
I just installed clean Vista Home Premium and now Vista doesn't recognize both of my 1.7ghz Xoen Processors or my SCSI drives. I have 1 16gb hdd and 1 34gb drive. I've tried disk management and redetect drives and still nothing. They are in an HP workstation X4000. Help

You might attempt to look for an updated driver for your motherboard, i say attempt because its a long shot. Getting tthat driver may involve contacting their technical support and begging, repeatedly. Dont let gates screw you out of a perfectly good PC just because his OS is alien to the existing hardware community. Keep in mind that the final release of vista is still only months old, and it may take a year or two before support for vista is wide spread, in the mean time be a pioneer, and one of the first to learn how to resolve these issues.
Seriously microsoft, how about a 'wrapper' to allow XP device drivers to run in windows vista? Im not an expert on the design of operating systems, but at least conceptually it seems practical, and neccesary.
the technological advancements dont match up
so, your pretty much screwed sorry
Welcome to vista, it has been driving me crazy for the last week.
