Maths problem..help!!?

A and B started a business with rs.20000 and rs.35000 respectively. They agreed to share the profit in the ratio of their capital. C joins the partnership with the condition that A,B.C will share profit equally and pays rs.220000 as premium for this, to be shared between A and B. In what ratio should it be divided between A and B?

  • 20.000 : 35.000 =

    20 : 35 =

    4 : 7

    So the ratio that A and B share their profit considering their capital is 4 : 7.

    Then they should also divide 220.000 in the ratio 4 : 7.

    And PS this is 80.000 : 140.000.

  • A = (20,000/35,000)(220,000) = Rs125,714.29

    B = 220,000 - 125,714.29 = Rs 94,285.71

    a ratio of 20/35 = 4/7

    - .--

  • 220,000 shared (4/11)*220,000 = 80,000 by A and rest 140,000 by B ANSWER
