system recovery/ destructive system recovery?
my system says if i just do the regular system recovery (non destructive) it WILL NOT delete my >Update:
the reason i'm asking is because i cannot boot and nothing else seems to be fixing it. so i can't go in and save them

Copy them to Cd's before doing any thing.
The non destructive recovery just basically installs the operating system and some of the files tied in to it like your applications and data with the apps. On your hard drive you will have 2 windows loaded on but it will only boot from the latest. You can go back into your hard drive and view the contents of the windows your wrote over as well as launch the applications that are still associated with that windows. Your pictures and music should still be on your hard drive with the old windows section as well.
