If my average on a class is 100% and i get an 80 on a test that is worth 25% of my grade what is my average now? and can you tell me how you did it?
@Taylor why 0.75?
You don't necessarily have a 95, Taylor assumed that the 100% grade came from the other 75% of the class.
Unless you tell use how you got that 100%, it is impossible to say.
She multiplied by 0.75 because 100-25 = the other 75% of the class or 0.75.
To figure out your average, multiply the grade on the test by 0.25, then multiply your average by 0.75, and add the two products. You should have a 95 in the class now.
