Mercedes Radio Problem?

My 1993 Mercedes Benz 300TE 4 Matic Wagon is having problems. When I turn on the radio, the antenna goes up but no music comes on. Then on the display, it says "E 2" and then the display goes blank and the antenna goes back down. What do I do about this? Does the radio need to be replaced?
