  • Without major modification, the answer is no.

Ford Probe's sister car is the MX-6, not the Protege. Probe also comes with either a V6 or inline 4, so if you will have to find the corresponding one if you don't want to modify the engine bay.

This is a little off-track, but there is one Ford model and a Mercury that use a Mazda Protege engine, the Ford Escort GT and Mercury Tracer LTS of the years 1991-96. They have the 1.8L DOHC Mazda engines in them.

  • No, unless you modify most of the car to fit with that engine.

The only Mazda engine that can fit any Ford is the Mazda MX-6 because that was used in the Ford Probe.

Also the Mazda 6 (V6) engine is used in the Ford Fusion.

There isn't any Ford that uses a Mazda Protege engine.

  • i'm guessing a small leak from the radiator hoses. in the event that they are clamped with screw style clamps provide the clamps at the two end of the two radiator hoses a manly twist with a screwdriver. New super hoses, like radiator hoses, often could desire to be retightened after a pair of weeks. After that they are reliable.

  • Yes with alot of modifications
