Is a Business degree useful?
Everyone says it is useless... but I have met a very successful man who runs some label printing business and he is very wealthy. So what does getting a business degree give me the options to do?
I am 16 and still trying to figure out what to do... I dont have GREAT grades, but I want to be very successful. I am guessing I will have to go to a State university since I dont have very good grades.

You need to work on your grades and pick them up. The next thing you need to do is look for grants and scholarships and they are given for various reasons. You want to go to college and you want to graduate without owing those huge college loans. There is a ton of money out there that doesn't get taken every year. You want to start by doing your financial paper with the college of your choice and then make those people your new best friends. It is easiest to get free money with good grades so apply yourself now. But there are grants for all sorts of reasons. I got one for Lady Clairol for women in business and then I found a local organization that hands out scholarships and I had good grades and they got me through a five year business degree that enabled me to be ready to sit for the CPA exam. It pays to do the work and learn and what you get is a better rest of your life. It is not useless if you apply yourself and learn. You will be able to get a job where you aren't at the bottom of the food chain. Get a degree that parlays into a job that will take care of you and give you the perks you need to live better. Plus you get to meet a lot of people that are going places and doing things. Good luck with it all.
a business degree is very valuable, but as any recent college graduate can tell you right now finding the best job has more to do with real life experience and contacts so an invaluable thing as well to focus on while you are in school is looking towards internships, work/study programs and business networking so you are not just a faceless applicant.
college degrees in general still correlate to such an increase in overall lifetime income and business (unlike many social sciences) is an actual hirable industry since you can do all kinds of things with a business degree.
For anyone that says its useless they're being very short sighted.
I belive a business degree is the way to go I you want lots of money.
