Picasso generally pretty good, but best avoid the 1.6, as it is only an 8-valve engine and is very underpowered. The diesel is great. If you must buy a 1.6 and if it must be french, then a Scenic is a better bet, But A Zafira is better, as it is much more practical if you need the 7-seat option. The 1.6 Scenic & Zafira are both more powerful than the Picasso. I have road tested all 3 with 1.6 engine & at the time bought the Zafira. I also road tested the Diesel Picasso.
I reject the comments of french cars being crap bitterly. These are people who judge a book by it's cover.
Anyway, I go to Spain every year, and for the past three years, I have hired out Citroen Picassos. I keep going for them because, despite being an MPV, they don't feel it. They don't wallow around and make their size really apparent on the road.
They are packed with clever features and the removable rear seats proved fantastic on the Ikea trip! The cabin feels really modern thanks to the massive digital speedo cluster. Controls are all nice to use and don't feel flimsy.
The Picasso has had very few problems and is a surprisingly reliable Citroen. My friend has had his for 4 years and has had no problems at all, he loves it.
The Picasso is much more stylish, modern and comfortable than the likes of a Vauxhall Zafira. The only other car which does it's job just as well as the Citroen is the Renault Scénic.

Yep, THINK AGAIN.

Hope this helped.
If you get it done at a citroen garage £800 to £1000 at a local garage £400 to £600. Ja.
I had one on loan for a week while my van was in for warranty work.
Found it really practical and economical but under powered when fully laden, but liked it a lot.
Later on I bought my wife a Renault Scenic 1.6 Alize which we still have and is far more comfortable seating and suspension wise.
Mate of mine has a 2.0 HDI Picasso and loves it.
this has got to be the dullest car on the road
Its French......enough said...ok
i agree it's french that should speak volumes
they are a lot cheaper for a reason
