how to do a tripple piroette?
i am a dancer and i can do a double pirouette but i'm trying to get my tripple. When i'm half way around i end up falling or stopping, do you have any tips on how to get all the way around or to help me stay up??? thanks

it's generally accepted that a double is as far as you can get with inadequate technique- anything beyond that requires that the dancers...
-turn out passe!!
-stay high up on releve!! (sometimes dancers with low insteps have trouble turning because of this)
-use arms to turn you!! (the force of your second arm pulling in is where you get your momentum)
-keep your arms tight!! (close to you, rounded, arms evenly high, and with hands turned toward your face not the ground)
-spot!!
-keep weight slightly forward!! (think shoulders over hips)
-shoulders down!!
-passe not overcrossed and at the right place down your leg!! (pinch where your foot should go before you turn...i know it sounds weird but it HELPS if this is a problem for you!)
You have to just keep on practicing. My dance instructor says a triple is like doing a double, and then another single. It makes it sounds a lot easier.
Just work on spotting and keeping your center strong. You'll get it eventually!
Spotting is definitely the key. =D One question: I assume you are talkign about how to do a triple pirouette on pointe right? lol If so, the only thing is practice, practice practice and..... more practice!
well...i would say you have to...
hold your center
keep ur leg up in a high posseh
if ur falling 2 1 side, lean the other way
no that the worst that can happen is that you can fall
spott very fast
Just keep practicing and remember to hold your center(not wobble around), and to bring your leg in very quickly
Here are some tips that help me
Spot, spot, spot!!
Hold your center.
Lift up in your rib cage.
Don't sit back.
This helps me: Visualize someone pulling you up by a string...that will help you lift.
Plies help you with momentum.
Get a good preparation...
Practice, practice, practice!!!
be more confident with your turns... to do this you want to keep your chin up, and shoulder's down. i had the same prob and once i did that i did 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
