Pursuing a career as a Principal?
I have recently graduated with my bachelors in General Studies. I am planning to teach Elementary School with emphasis in Special Education. One of my primary objectives is to increase awareness in academics with disadvantaged youth. My plan is to eventually pursue my master's degree in Educational Leadership to become involved in Administration, but haven't decided when I should pursue it.
I have considered getting my second bachelors in Political Science, History, or Business Administration. Which major would fit best for my career?

Hi LeDarrius! If you want to teach elementary school, you will need to check the website of the education department of your state to check to see what the requirements are - they may be a bachelor's degree plus teaching certification. In that case, your time would be better spent pursuing teaching certification than a second bachelor's degree. In order to become a principal, you will want a master's degree in educational leadership or education administration, along with your administrator license. The requirements will vary in each state and school district. These sites have more info about the fields and degrees in which you are interested. Good luck!

in case you could significant in training or a minimum of get coaching certification (in math or otherwise, yet math instructors are in severe call for, so why not), that ought to help. Principals usually start up out as instructors.
You should complete you graduation.
