Fantasy baseball trade?
So I decided to send a trade offer that was more appealing to the other player. I just want to know if it was a smart idea. I trade J.D. Drew and Mark Buerhle for Jason Bay.
I know Drew and Bay almost have the exact same stats and adding Buerhle in is giving a little much. But I have two players on the DL and need to make room. I have Aaron Harang and Chris Carpenter on the DL and I believe Carpenter will do pretty good when he gets back and harang will start to actually pitch with this time off. I don't want to drop any of my players because they are all quality players. My best pitchers are: Dan Haren, Cole Hamels, John Lackey, and I also have the best closing staff in my league.
So was the trade a good decision on my part to get the slight increase in offense in order to free up space for my pitchers on the DL?

Not smart. Drew and Buerhle are solid, and Bay is iffy still. Carp may not play well of the DL (I have him too), and if he gets hurt, he's done for the year again, like Mulder. If anything, I'd try and drop a batter to bring Carp back from the DL, but it's your call.
I'd rather have Drew on my team and drop Buerhle.
