Do I put it into my job portfolio?
Obviously in your job portfolio you want the best examples of your work. Thanks to being laid off suddenly, I only have one banner ad available for me to include in the portfolio. However, I'm hestitant:
1) It's not the best banner ad. My bosses preferred everything wordy - even the banner ads. To be effective, they should be short and catchy.
2) There's only one. I have made several different ones, but like I mentioned - I don't have access to them. I will NEVER have access to them.
However, it's still a banner ad. The position for which I am interviewing is most likely going to be in charge of banner ad text.
So...
Do I leave it out, knowing that it isn't my best work?
Or
Do I leave it in, knowing that it may be something I will be called to do if hired?
Update:A banner ad is just a moving advertisment on a website or web page. There's one usually on the right of this page, unless you are using an AdBlocker.

I would say leave it in.
you never know who will see the portfolio.
If you do not have the access and/or possible rights to it, you may want to leave out the exact contents and use something similar with the explanation of not having the availability of the actual ad - I am not familiar with what a "banner ad" is, but perhaps you can create some more just for the portfolio ......??
