Help Describing Facial Features?

Hi there,

I'm currently basing an art paper I have to do on one of my favourite actresses that involves quite a bit of detail on her appearance and her facial features. I've tried time and time again but to no avail, I hate to ask for help on my own paper, but any help describing her facial features would be much appreciated; like, eye shape, nose shape, mouth, and over-all impression.

Many thanks

  • First and foremost, I love your pic. Mark Hoffman (and Costas Mandylor) is awesome!

Now to the point: I will list some characteristics, but you will have to word them into sentences. That sounds fair to me.

    square head and jaw

    close-set eyes

    watered-down blue eyes

    yellowish-blonde thick hair

a few wrinkles on her forehead

    thin, serious lips

    retreating hairline

happy crow's feet at the corners of her eyes

    hidden ears

the skin on her arms looks plump

  • You can't miss the huge eyes, and the thin lips that convey a permanent underlying sadness. One thing I have always liked about her as an actress, is that she has an "every woman" quality - she is not so beautiful as to be a threat, or to be unlikely in someones life (how many people you know, are friends with someone as beautiful as a movie star) but she is still pretty enough.

  • i do not think anyone here in yahoo answers can do it for you and moreover answering such complex questions require deep analysis of theories and research done by others inorder to get a good grade. it is more useful if you use some website like fastcustomessays.com for such task, which i used for mine but remember that it is highly recommend to write your own paper iff you have enough time and knowledge otherwise itz okay to use such helps from these experts. Onething i am sure that they will nevr disappoint you because i know so many mates using such helps and getting decent marks on their papers. i hope this will work for you

  • Who was that? Emily Watson?

Anyway-- usually as writers we don't give purely objective description. In our craft we use description to convey all sorts of things, like the character's mood, personality, history, things that are not purely visual in themselves. I'm not sure what approach you need to take in your paper. It's an art paper, so is it about composition? Abstract shapes?

If you want to describe her as a writer, then I suggest that you respond to the image. How does she seem? What does her experession make you think of? That kind of thing. Then describe her image in that way.
