How do I get over a crush on a professor?

I have a really, really bad crush on one of my professors in college. I know that nothing can ever happen between us, and I accept that, but I still can't stop thinking about him. He's in his late 20s, but he's very intelligent and eloquent. He's also a good looking guy and a very kind person. So, basically, my "ideal" man. I get depressed whenever his class ends and I know it's a silly crush, but is there any way to make it hurt less?

  • Go out and meet new people who you actually could envision a future with. Many times when the romantic front gets a little bleak, we idealize relationships we know will never happen.

  • Grit your teeth and bear it until the class is over. Then make sure you never take another class where he is the professor again.

  • Ask him to give you a D and then you will like him a lot less.

Sorry I have no real answer!

  • hell, if you're 18+, ask him out.

theres really no reason not to, if yall can both be adults about it.
