Side effects of ortho evra? (birth control patch)?
I am supposed to start using the patch and I was wondering what are the most common side effects. I have looked around online and some sites make it sound not so bad (ie: headaches and a little nausea) but others made it sound terrible like vomiting, blood clots, violent mood swings and migraines. This is my first time ever going on birth control and I was wondering what the most common side effects really where, I can handle some nausea and headaches, but not so much migraines and vomiting seeing that I have work and a trip coming up in the next few weeks.

I was on that for about a year and when I first started it all I had were headaches and breast tenderness. And itching and irritation where the patch was but I always swapped places every week and that helped. I really liked that birth control but it can be a pain if your patch falls off you have to put a fresh one on. I ended up having to buy an extra box every month to every other month. That got pretty expensive. Other than that its a good birth control IMO.
I don't know anything about the clumps?! But I ve been on the "patch" for almost 4 years and i havent gain or really even lost weight, skin irritations, or mood swings. I can say that I am always fatigue, but i have low iron anyway. I was on the pills since I was 16 until 19 yrs old and later in those years the pills made me feel nausea any time I took them. Regardless of others opinions, you need to have a patient/doctor relationship with an OB/GYN to get checked out ASAP! And pray about it.
