I know some song from Nightwish,The Buzzcocks etc.

The thing is that I don't know more then 15-20 songs from any of this Bands.

So I think that that is making me a poser.

  • Your friend obviously doesn't know what a poser is either. A poser is a person who pretends to be someone their not, or copies what other people are doing in order to look cool.

If you like rock music, then you like rock music. Simple as that. When you say you like rock music most people wouldn't expect you to know every rock band and every rock song. As long as you're being yourself then you're not being a poser.

  • You'd only be a poser if you're pretending to like the music to look cool, just don't worry about it and listen to the music/dress the way you want!

  • A poser is someone who's pretending to be something their not. An if you listen to rock, then your a rocker and you dress like it doesn't make you a poser. It makes you "you"!

  • In this sense, posing means to 'pose' as someone you're not. In order to NOT be a poser, simply be yourself. Listen to bands you truly like, wear clothes you truly want to wear, and don't try to fit into an image.

  • A poser is someone who poses in front of the camera all the time

  • Just don't try hard to label yourself.
