Month names?

Is it only appropriate to give a child a month name if they were born in that month?

  • No way!!!! I know a girl whose birthday is in October and her name is June. And i know a girl named April and her birthday is July. So it doesnt matter

  • I think you can only name your child a month name if they are NOT born in that month

  • Well it depends on the month. You don't want your child to be made fun of though. April and June are the only ones that sound really appropriate!!!!

  • i think it would get annoying to the child, every one would ask "is that the month u were born in"....i would give them the name of the month they are born in or dont do it at all

  • if u like the way a month sounds u can name ur child what ever u want he or she doesnt necessarily have to be born in that month

  • I really do not care for month names at all !!! but I think it does not matter what month you were born in !

  • No.

    April

    May

    and

    June

are all very pretty names no matter what month they are born in. Ecspecially as middle names.

  • No. I think if anything, it's a bit tacky to call your baby May if they were born in May, or April in April to be honest, otherwise they'll get the joke "April, were you born in April?" and that would make her feel a bit silly I expect.

  • No, in fact I think it would be best not to do that (ex: born in January, name her May; born in May, name him August)

  • not really. month names can be pretty regardless. (May, April, June) you could also try things like seasons, countries, and flowers if you don't want to try the month thing.
