Why do my glasses feel unbalanced?

Why do my glasses feel unbalanced?

I got new glasses today, i have worn glasses before but they broke 3 weeks ago (which is why i got new ones) and i got my old broken ones 3 years ago. i got glasses a little bigger this time. they fit my head perfectly but both pairs of which i got feel unbalanced when i wear them. when i tried them on at the glasses store i didn't notice it. but now its really bugging me. i checked in the mirror and they look just fine, not lopsided at all. but when i wear them on side feels "lighter" than the other. at when i tip the right side the left side comes off quick and easy but when i tip the right side the left side comes of normal. this also happens when i take them off. its the right side that's really bugging me. so is it something wrong with the glasses? should i of just told the guy at the glasses store and he would fix it? i keep thinking one of my ears is a bit lower that the other. please help!

Also i got these new glasses today and is there a way i can fix it or should i just take them to an eye doctor to get fixed

  • This question would be better answered in a more appropriate category. Glasses feel unbalanced for several reasons - one lens could be heavier than the other, your ears may not be of equal height on your head, or your cheeks may not be of equal heights. Any of those can lead to the "legs" of the glasses to be out of balance...very much like tires on the car when the pressure is not balanced. The final possibility could be the frames are not fitting on your face/cheeks properly. Why don't you go back to where you pruchased them? They adjust then at no charge. If not where you purchsed them, go to any place that sells glasses and you will be charged a nominal fee for an adjustment or fitting.

  • it sounds like something could be a little off with the glasses' frame..... just take it to the eye doctor.. that's what they're there for.. they will fix it in just a few minutes for free of charge. (usually it is no cost)

  • Welcome to sociology, take the glasses back as many times as you have to and have them readjusted ,they don't usually charge for something like that.
