Bram Stoker's Dracula?
In the novel it speaks of Quincy Morris having previous experiences with vampires (or at least vampire bats). Could somebody please elaborate and clear up what happened and what this means?

Exactly what Cat said.
He says that he had to kill his horse at one point in the past because vampire bats drank its blood up one night. This happens somewhere in chapter 12, I think.
Make her read the book first. I did that with my son for the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Harry Potter series. He had to read the books before he could see the movies.
