What do doctors do at a girls physical?
My mom just told me that I have to go get a physical tomorrow and I don't want to but she making me. They said I have to wear a t-shirt and shorts (which makes me even more nervous). Am I gonna have to get naked or anything? What will they do? How long will it take? Does my mom come in with me? I'm so nervous ! I'm 13 years old , I am not sexuality active but I do masturbate sometimes. Will that affect anything?

They do just a regular check up. Your heart rate, blood pressure, how is your spine, etc.
If you are going to a private clinic then they might check you down there but no exam or anything just a quick look.
Its all harmless. You may have your mom come in with you if you're not embarrassed if they do check you or if you feel nervous.
If you are worried that they will do a pelvic, I don't think they will. You do not have to tell anyone you masturbate. They might ask if you are sexually active, that means have you had actual sex with a boy. Your Mom might go in with you. They will ask you questions, maybe check out your knees, mash around on your stomach and check your glands in your neck. They might ask about your periods and if you have headaches. Just be honest and don't be nervous, it will be over before you know it.
for a basic physical they won't make you get naked. If you are going for a "female' exam you will.
most likely you just need to have your heart rate checked, temp, listen to your lungs, and make sure you are overall in general good health.
if you are going for a 'female' exam (aka pap) you will need to undress and usually they give you a gown or small sheet to cover yourself with. they will use a small instrument into your private area's to make sure you are healthy there too. they will do a swab (long q tip) and send it off to the lab.
neither of the exams are painful (embarrassing yes but NOT painful). If you are close with your mom please ask her to stay with you when you go in.
If the doctor asks you any questions (even regarding masturbation) just tell the truth. Its not a bad thing or something to be ashamed of. be honest.
They just see if anything is wrong . Nothing bad
