Poetry - Ignorance is NOT not Bliss?
Now I am no poet or even an english student. I just like making things rhyme and writing down my thoughts so here is a little poem I wrote when someone asked me whether I thought ignorance was bliss.
Everyone says that ignorance is bliss
There’s something about that incompleteness
The missing words, the empty gaze
Like being lost in a giant maze
It leaves you happy, content and fine
Not having knowledge which is totally mine
How can something you don’t even know
Make you feel so blissful
What if I flipped the story around
Although this may sound a little profound
But people around you know it’s true
Everybody............... except for you
They all are laughing behind your back
They could have learnt to use some tac
This noise they make leaves you confused
While everyone else is not so quietly amused
What have you done to make them stare
What can they say to try make you aware?
Funny thing ignorance can be
You could just stand there awkwardly
Or not give a thought about what you hear
You’d never have to shed a single tear.
What do you think??

you are smart. I like yor words. I am thinking that I can learning from you, thanks.
goodluck!
I think it's beautifully done. Wonderfully worded. Well expressed.
... I might have tried to fit in "incompetence" rather than "incompleteness" if it were my poem... but, I'm a bit standoffish I guess.
I think you should cut it down, like...
"Ignorance is bliss"
incompleteness
missing words
empty gaze
giant maze
etc etc...
*tact?
only a suggestion..and I do agree with the message.
