How do you return slices?
When I try to return them with a normal ground stroke, they go into the net. When I try to return them with a slice, they go long. When I try returning them with a lob, they fall short and are easily put away by my opponent. What's the best way to return them?
Update:I'm also only around the 3.5 level if that means anything.

Control. That's what you will need. Don't recommend returning it with another slice-extremely tricky. You will need to focus completely on the ball and use lift to get it over the net. To sum it up-use lift, focus and control. Keep practicing returning slices-get a partner to hit that kind of shot to you over and over until you learn. It will take experience good luck!
when you training practice more on slices because the best way to return a slice is with another slice and maybe do a drop shot from time to time to add variety to your game so it doesn't get predictable because even though a slice is the best way to return a slice your opponent could see it coming and just attack off the slice or if you think your opponent will do a slice come to the net and hit a volley because then the point is in your control so you will probably win the point from there.
go with top spin or mini lob
