How do i recover my system from NTLDR fault?

My laptop when turned on shows a error while booting.

it says:-

NTLDR is missing..

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

i want to also recover my all HDD >Update:

my system is not excepting any win XP cd and flash drive....i hv tried it but the system is still not booting

  • That error indicates a partition problem, you need to full format your harddisk and do a fresh install. Regarding your Win XP CD, just configure the BIOS to first BOOT to your CDROM

  • initially boot from the windows cd, go to the repair / recovery console options, type LOGON to access the Windows installation, type CHKDSK /R to check for disk errors and repair, might take a while depending on the size of the disk.

    If thsi fails run a repair over your operating system -

  • before running into the recovery console with winxp install cd, check if you boot on the correct drive in your bios. If you have only one harddisk, you go for the recovery console.

  • Use the commands

    FIXBOOT and

    FIXMBR in the

    "Repair mode" of Windows XP installation
