Familiarity Breeds Contempt?

Lately I've been sitting on my rear and lazing around the house, and I'm starting to get settled in my ways. What can I do to get this lazy Irish butt out his Irish door?

  • You don't say how old you are, but unless you're way past retirement age, you oughtta be getting out and having some fun. Maybe you're just going thru a phase of needing solitary and some alone time. Take some time to evaluate when and why you changed into a hermit and do whatever it takes (contact old friends, schedule some vacation time, take a class, start a new hobby, etc.) to get you out and about. Life's too short and precious to sit at home all the time, unless that absolutely what you enjoy the most.

  • You just have to get motivated. Find something you need to do, chores, exercise, maybe read up on some things and do it.

It's ok to laze around of the weekend or something as long as you're not neglecting anything.

  • Familiarity breeds contempt ...only when you allow it.

  • Maybe when you run out of whiskey you'll have to go out the door to buy more.
