Is this disrespectful to a mom?

Today my mom got my graduation packet that i forgot to give her. She then comes and say how come you havent showed me those papers? I tell her because i forgot and she knows my memory is short because both my grandparent's know i have bad memory. So she say's well i kept reminding you everyday about it. I told her that she didn't remind me everyday and that i just put it in my book bag because i didn't even know what that was when i recieved it (the packet). She say's well "you know that's stupid as hell right"? I tell her "well it happened". I honestly don't see an disrespectful thing in that at all and now she took my 360 because of it. My grandmother didn't even find that disrespectful either. Do you guy's? Also she say's i wont get it back until i respect her, in which i'm not excuse my language but "kiss her ***" to get it back either. What should i do?

Update:

i tried to explain but she said she's done hearing my voice now.

Update 3:

MODELING GUY..I REALLY LIKE THE ANSWER YOU GAVE ME.

  • the little ones prefer some chores and in substitute, mom will take them places. Your sister shouldn't could help them with homework anymore--particularly the 15 12 months previous. If the little ones prefer help, they could ask the instructor earlier or after college. era. Time to take some accountability for that education. Her daughter needs to scrub her very own room, make her very own lunch, and discover her very own dinner if she would not like what's being served. No chocolates. pass away it as much as the little ones to take some accountability.

  • It doesn't matter who's right in this situation. She's your mother just try to give her some additional respect so this passes by and you go on with your life. A wise man once said, "Mother's are impossible to live with and it's more impossible to be born without them". Play the game, stop keeping score and you both win.

  • If you want your 360 back.Explain that when you said that happened you weren't being nasty or dis- respectful . Tell mom you were just saying that ,that is what happened and how it happened and that you weren't aware you were being short ,if it was taken that way. Apologize for having a senior moment and having A.D.D. OR Alzheimer's or just being plain forgetful. Good Luck.

  • It was your responsibility to give it to her when she got it. A bad memory is a poor excuse. It was very disrespectful. If you continue to have these kind of problems, you need to find a way to deal with the short memory.

  • parents are under so much pressure to , I remember I wanted to be a part of my daughter graduating, but she would re veil little ,, she just maybe fells left out, there is nothing that a turn around love and hugs will not cure, go in there show her love NOW,,,,, she was asking u for a while remember?

  • it was 20 percent disrespectful cuz u could have just said yes mam i will remember next time but also other than that i think it is just plain crazy

  • I'm sure its frustrating for her that you waited so long to give it to her, but she was mean to you for something that you didn't do on purpose. She was disrespectful to you. I'm siding with you on this one.

  • Personally, I didn't find anything offensive on what you said.

  • oh drama...drama...drama.
