Is 1000 mg vitamin E a day too much?
I'm taking vitamin E pills to clear scars, i have the capsules that are 1000 mg. I've been taking them everyday for almost a week now, and at the same time, topically on my skin every night, its been about a month. But then i heard that too much vitamin e can kill you! =/ but then again i also heard that any amount of vitamin E is okay
soo my question is, is 1000 mg vitamin E a day too much?
Update:I'm 15 years old

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin not a water soluble vitamin. So, yes it is possible to take too much and can harm you.
"Fat soluble vitamins, once they have been stored in tissues in the body, tend to remain there. This means that if a person takes in too much of a fat soluble vitamin, over time they can have too much of that vitamin present in their body, a potentially dangerous condition called hypervitaminosis (literally, too much vitamin in the body)."
1000mg looks like a good dose per day for an adult. consult your physician though, because it affects your blood heavily
