Is this a nano printer or a molecular assembler?

Looking at this is this a nano printer or a molecular assembler?

From what I understand it does not look like a molecular assembler or star trek replicator, it does not move atoms around at all.

From what I understand a molecular assembler or star trek replicator does not requires raw material.

A nano printer requires raw materials and does not move atoms around.

A nano printer would be spitting out molecular. It would print molecular by molecular.

Well a molecular assembler or star trek replicator would be spitting out atoms and moving atoms around to build stuff.

  • Any device which produces physical results is going to require raw material. It may operate with atoms or molecules of elements (C, O, H ) or with heavier molecules like organic sugars from break down of garbage. The Startrek replicator is fiction and never properly described but any device that claims to build from energy is overwelmingly impossible by E=MC^2.

"spitting out molecular" is not using the words correctly.
