How do I become a pro MMA fighter?
Alright,
I'm 20 years old, 6'4'', solid 200 pounds,
I have a year of collegiate wrestling background, 6 months of sambo and I've been practicing Muay Thai for the past year and I'm a pretty good striker. I was just wondering, how does one go about becoming a pro MMA fighter to fight in tournaments such as UFC and Strikeforce?
Update:Rookerman, whats your problem?

To get straight into the UFC or Strikeforce you'll need a good agent, otherwise do what everyone else does start out fighting in local promotions and work your way up.
Well the UFC stopped doing tournaments over 10 years ago but what you need to do is get on a fight team at your local MMA gym. They can set you up with amateur fights then when your ready you can get a pro fight. You will need to jump through a few hoops like medical tests and getting a license to fight. That all depends on what state you want to fight in.
Just involve yourself first on some MMA fighter amateur competition, prove yourself as a better one, then maybe someday or somehow, you can get someone who will going to manage you and can help you in any professional tournaments like UFC and Strikeforce.
Good luck

Find local fight promoters in your area. Ask to fight. If you're good, you'll go pro, if you're not, you won't. Simple.
i would check their websites there's probably helpful information there.
You can't.
