Find the exact values of cosƟ , cscƟ , and tanƟ .

  • well i assume that you know basic analytical geometry. if (-8,-6) on terminal side of Ɵ. firstly tanƟ is the slope and so

    tanƟ= y/x = (-6)/(-8) = 3/4

    to determine cosƟ and cscƟ you can think (-8, -6) is a vector. and you must first find the norm of the vector. and that is [[z]]=sqrt(x^2+ y^2)

    =sqrt((-8)^2+ (-6)^2)

    =sqrt(100)

    =10

    so cosƟ=x/[[z]] = -8/10 = -4/5

    and cscƟ=1/sinƟ so cscƟ = [[z]]/ y = 10/-6 =5/-3
