What brand and model is it?
There could be drivers somebody made for a mac.
Then again if you have a spare wireless router especially linksys that you don't use anymore you could put some dd-wrt firmware on it that allows a repeater and you can actually use it like an adapter.
What wireless adapter do you have?
I can't even attempt to find drivers for you unless i know what you have.
Though if you are looking for a wireless adapter for mac in the line of buying one. There are wireless adapters out there for mac if you search

If it is the PC (PCMCIA) card type you can't because new macs don't have PCMCIA slots.
EDIT
If you want traveling, just about anywhere internet, you need a monthly service and a USB adapter. It's called Mobile Broadband. Try Verizon, T-Mobile, or Sprint.
