  • I had the same problem a couple nights ago. I tried this recipe for the first time and it was really good.

No egg wonder cake is a chocolate cake

    Cook Time: 30 minutes

    Ingredients:

1 3/4 cup sifted cake flour

    1 cup sugar

    1/4 cup cocoa

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/3 cup shortening

    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1 tablespoon vinegar

    1 cup cold water

    Preparation:

Sift dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and beat until almost smooth. Pour into a greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Frost cake or serve with whipped topping.

  • Ok! Super easy but delicious. Make a yellow box cake. Bake it in a 9"x13" pan. Cool while you make jello of what ever kind that sounds good to you. Poke at lot of holes in the cake and then pour the liquid jello over the cake. I like to use a red variety because it's pretty. You can use what ever amount you want of the jello. Usually 3/4 to all of it depending on how soaked you want the cake to be. Put in refrigerator until it is set. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream. Great! I have family members who can't get enough of this. This does have to be kept in the refrigerator just like jello. There isn't usually much left. Good Luck.
