honda civic or Chevy silverado?

I'll be trading in soon and I'm stuck between the four door civic or the crew cab silverado. Obviously very different from each other. I drive around 2000 miles a month. For the honda that's great but with the truck I'd be spending 4-500 bucks on gas a month. If I get the civic I'll save more on gas but if I get the truck I'll be much happier with it and I'll get to haul around a bike that I hope to be getting. So it's either spend money on gas and be happy with what I drive or save more money by getting the civic. What do you think?

  • This is an apples to oranges comparison. Honda civic is obviously an economical car in every comparison to the Silverado but you can't haul your bike with it.

Why don't you combine your desire? Consider another truck, the Honda Ridgeline, which is slightly more fuel efficient than Chevy Silverado or maybe consider a Chevy Silverado Hybrid for better gas mileage.

  • Id say go with the Chevy. If that's what you want then buy the truck, I know lots of guys who drive trucks as daily drivers, most of them with lifts and big tires so even worse fuel economy. If you want a truck get a truck, gas is going to cost to you money both ways, just less with the civic. If your gonna buy a bike to haul around IE one that's not street legal, having to bum rides from you buddies all the time is a pain in the ***. And if you decide your spending to much on gas you can always sell the truck and buy a civic, they're a dime a dozen. A friends diesel gets like 7-14mpg cause of what he's done to it and he loves it. If your making money so you can fill the tank and want a truck, go with the truck
