How do I deal with 50,000 emails?

All the answers to my previous question involved batch solutions by page or by range. I said 'some emails need to be saved' but should have been more specific; certain senders' emails need to be sorted out for saving. Fifty thousand e-mails are a lot to sift through one-by-one. One Yahoo account has the feature of sorting by sender; if the email account that contains the huge volume of single emails, also had that sorting feature, my job of saving some and deleting most would be much easier. Anyone know how to import the ability to sort by sender to an account that does not have that feature?
