Unless they are assigned to a certain receiver then they cover the side where ever they are positioned....
Depends What the Coach's Plan is, Most Often they cover the Wide Receivers, But they Also Guard Tight Ends, And Running Backs.
Unless the defense is in a zone or a cb is assigned to a specific man, the CB will usually line up and cover the outermost eligible reciever .
Corners actually cover everyone...WR's, QB's and RB's
