Please correct my grammar?

Sometimes, when I'm angry, I go outside to feel calm.

Sometimes when I'm angry I go outside to feel calm.

Which is right?

  • The second one. Putting a comma after sometimes just confuses the description of exactly when you go outside. You could put a comma after angry but it's not essential. There are a lot less commas in written english than there used to be.

  • The first one.
