Normal period, but no cramps?
Hello. So. I'll give a brief summary:
Recently moved across country, left home for the first time, adopted an extremely new diet (cut out sugars, fats, etc. - trying to lose weight), and I skipped a period.
I was beginning to fear that I might be pregnant, so I took a test and it came back negative. I took this test when I would've been roughly 5-6 weeks pregnant, if I was pregnant. I have had no symptoms of pregnancy (no tenderness, no extreme/sudden exhaustion, nothing I would consider out of place at all). But of course I've been stressing out majorly thinking I am, so I'm sure that could've added to the reason I missed a period. I've undergone a lot of major changes that I've never experienced before.
Anyways, onto my actual question... My period came this month around when it should've - it started out light (which made me paranoid I was having implantation bleeding..) but then it got heavier and has lasted over a week. Blood clots and all. I typically have longer periods than most women.
The strange thing is that I've virtually had no cramping, when in 99% of all previous periods I have. I typically have heavy periods with clots - all of that is typical/normal, but there's no cramps. If I was pregnant (which I don't really think I am, but still) I'd be around 8-9 weeks right now... I'm trying to avoid going to the doctors at all costs just because I'm unemployed right now (but searching!) and can't afford it right now at all.
So is it possible I'm just not having cramps for once? Please only answer if you seriously know or have had experience with this.

Cramps aren't compulsory!
With all the major changes you've made, you can expect your period to be different too.
Stop worrying.
