Most likely you have to have top & bottom. You dont want your top teeth looking decent & the bottom messed up. Not to mention when fixing an over/under bite, the teeth have to fit together when your mouth is closed....
As for how long, they should be able to tell you. It varies on how your teeth shift.
Upper and im sure its going to be on until it is fixed about two years! i have braces and i have a under bite and i have to have mine on for about 3 or 4 years yours shouldnt take that long tho

They told me i had an over bite too..while i had the full set of braces on. They gave me bands..nd its fixed now!:D good luck!
Probably all your teeth. Braces aren't so bad though so don't worry.
