Embassy: Physical Details?

Hey guys,

I need to know what the inside of an embassy looks like. I'm writing a screenplay where a man must enter an American embassy in Russia. I have a general idea what the inside of an embassy looks like, I just need to know if there's a certain office that deals with certain affairs? For example passports and such? I also need to know if there is tight security in these buildings.

I'm not a spy btw xD

    Take a look it this video. It describes the procedure to apply for the first U.S. adult passport in person at the U.S. Embassy in London. Although this is at a different location it might still give you some ideas about the set-up.
