why does jergens natural glow turn me orange?

most people always say jergens doesnt turn you orange. it turns you like a natural bronze color. i have no idea why its turning me orange. im using the right shade. [i have fair skin and it says fair-medium skin tons] i dont think im using too much. im using the same amount of lotion that most people would use for just regular lotion. could i possibly be using too much?? are you supose to use just a little bit?? im pretty sure im getting it really even too. this is the fifth day ive used it. could it just be that i have to wait a week and then it will look less orange? i already look pretty dark right now so maybe ive just been using too much.... what do you think? i mean im really not using a whole WHOLE lot but idk. why do you think its turning me orange????

Update:

does anybody think if i keep using it i wont look orange any more.... btw some people think i look orange and some people think i look good. i think i look kinda orange

Update 3:

i also use the body lotion for my face instead of the face stuff. i didnt think it would be a big deal but do you think that could be one reason why my FACE looks orange and kinda uneven-ish?

  • Maybe that is your natural color... it jus makes my skin look brighter and prettier, although I don't know what your skin tone is but I'm a fair skined african american. I put it on every day before school.why dont you try another skincare product instead of Jergens, like Olay or something if you don't like the way it looks on your skin. Good luck, I'm sure you'll look beautiful!!

Don't use them! Especially if you don't want to be orange in a wedding! Yes, they do turn your skin orange. If you want to go tan without the bed, I recommend using Malibu Hemp Golden Glow Bronzing Moisturizer, which you can get at wal mart! It does not turn your skin orange, and is very gradual, unlike that other lotion that instantly turns your skin streaky orange. It is an awesome product, smells good, is great for your skin, and then gradually washes off when you discontinue using it.

  • I've used it and I don't turn orange but I use it sparingly. I think you are doing nothing wrong but for some reason, your skin pigment reacts to this product that way. As products go, this one is pretty conservative, but I think you need to search for something else.

  • are you, by chance, Asian?
