Lemarx Printer PROBLEM?
I just bought a Lemarx 1300 series printer, and when i try to install it on my Windows Vista machine, it says "Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print service is not running" Now what the hell? I want to use this printer just for me, not the whole network... and i tried staring it from my computer but it says access denied,...help????
Update:i meant to say the print service SPOOLER isnt on...

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Find Print spooler and turn it on. If that doesn't work then there is another service that needs to be turned on - check the list and try turning on disabled services one at a time to see if the problem is fixed.
See there's the problem, you have to learn to share, ha ha, I'm not sure if this will work on the Vista but I would, click start, then control panel, then system and maintenence, then administration tools, then open services, now locate, the printer spooler service in the list of services and confirm that the status is started, if it is not select the service and on the action menu click start, if this don't help delete drivers, go to Lexmark web site and download the drivers and look for a driver up date, and if this still don't help get a hold of Lexmark, hope this helped and good luck.
First of all, I trust you are talking about a "Lexmark" printer, right? If so, go to support DOT lexmark DOT com and you will find the customer support forums. There is a good chance you will find the answer there. Hope this helps.
