Algebra Word problem :( 10 Points?
Suppose that the amount of time it takes to build a highway varies directly with the length of the highway and inversely with the number of workers. Suppose also that it takes 200 workers 3weeks to build 2 miles of highway. How many miles of highway could 250 workers build in 6 weeks?

200*x=2 miles divide each side by 2
100*x=1 divide each by 100
x = .01
so we add 50 people then:
250 * x = ?
250 * .01 = 2.5 miles
now we have 6 weeks which is twice as much....
2.5 * 2 = 5 miles
the anzwer is 5
600=2 miles
1500=x miles
600x=3000
x =5
answer is 5 miles.
